Work From Home Edit

“Do you agree that working from home has already become our New Normal? Transitioning into a more relaxed and comfortable home front, many may find a little perplexed as to what to wear to look ‘proper’ for an impromptu Video call from the office. This post is the beginning of a series of my favorite #WFH Edit that are affordable and stylish.”

Most organisation have not come up with an acceptable dress code yet. However, it still goes without saying that the outfit for your home office needs to be appropriate nevertheless. So, to stay ahead of the game, I came up with my own style code of professional and comfortable choices.

Shop for Home Office Outfits

Kmart Relax Range AW/20 collection has predominantly featured clothing with a more relaxed and comfort-fit. The choices range from jumpers, long line cardigans to dresses and they are anywhere from $25 to $35.

1. The Knit Vest has been styled so smartly with a pair of jeans and a white tee. Style Tip: You could also wear this with black pants and a black tee.
2. I have always loved Longlilne Cardis and this one from Kmart comes in a beautiful soft hue. The pockets are a bonus at any given time. Style Tip: Wear them with leggings and a tee or even over shorts for after-work hours walk in the park. Sneakers for a casual look and ankle boots for a smarter outfit.
3. A knit dress is such a versatile piece in your closet and can be styled in a number of ways. Style Tip: Tone it down with a pair of sneakers or wear ankle boots and a scarf as accessories for to shop for essentials.

Cotton On has been my favorite shop by far when it comes to comfort. It was rather sad to see the stores had closed temporarily as part of their COVID-19 response. But, seeing they are still selling (online) and providing delivery opens up more options for those working from home.

With 30% Off  Everything and 40% sale on knits, getting ready for the cooler weather has definitely been fun. From cute beanies, winter jackets, pullovers, relaxed pants to the Sock Shop collection, they got you covered from head to toe. 

1. The Winter Jacket (above) has been brilliantly styled for an overall monochromatic look. Style Tip: Feel free to wear this with a fitted knit dress (as the one from Kmart) or even blue denim and a graphic tee for a Friday Casual look.
2. I am in love with cropped pullovers and these Archy ones from Cotton On already look so soft and plush. Style Tip: I would team it with a pair of gym track-pants or leggings and pair of Converse.
3. The Relaxed Pants that I found come in various fits and lengths. Choose the one that compliments your body shape. Style Tip: For example, wide leg trousers are not for bottom-heavy, cropped lengths can be elongated with a higher waistline and avoid pleats or drawstrings at the waist if you don’t want any attention on that part of your body.
