With the warmer season settling in, I see a lot of dopamine dressing inherited from the runways around the world. Spring 2022 has good news in store for us. This season’s trends are definitely making us happier as we see some of the dreamiest wearable colors for our wardrobes.
1. Be Bold
From flowing dresses to sparkles, its all about making a statement this season. Bright bold colors are definitely rising my EQ score. This is truly my season (grins with a sparkle in the eye)
2. Monochromatic sets
Matching sets are going to be hot this season. So feast your eyes on pant suits in the same color pallette. Choose from linen, silk, plisse or cotton. Go for a pant suit or shirt-short, PJ set….we are so spoilt for choice. Check out the Plisse Satin Shirt and Pant sets from Boohoo.
For those who prefer something subtle, you have shades of pastels in buttercup yellow, sage and sky blue to give you multiple options to stand out.
Besides sage, we will see an array of yellow, hot pink, hot scarlet and shades of blue this spring-summer 2022.
3. Get Hot
Go from fiery red to orange and everything in between. Splashes of Reds, scarlets and oranges are setting the stores ablaze all over the shopping malls, whether they are shoes, jewellery or outfits. Chose between the warmer or cooler tones to suit your skin’s undertone.
4. Ultimate contrast
Dont shy away from an absolute contrast. I am wearing a green satin shirt with the collars turned in and tucking the hemline under the bra, which also happens to be a style trend this season. Crop away your tees and shirts for a chic look showing a little more skin.
5. Have fun
Fashion is what a set of designers define on the runway, style is what YOU make out of it. Make it your own, be comfortable in your skin and above all, have fun with it. There is no harm is mixing all the colors in the colorwheel and I promise, you will still look chic. Its called ‘confidence’.
And just because something is trending doesnt mean you must own it. Assess, evaluate then decide to make a trend your favorite. Remember, trends will fade away, so make your buys sensible, own items that will see more seasons than just one.
And thats a wrap. Happy styling. Love you all.
XOXO,
Shom
